IMTS 2026 marked the official launch of 3nine’s new APEX series in North America, bringing the latest generation of oil mist separation technology to manufacturers and industry professionals in Chicago.
From September 14-19, 3nine welcomed visitors at IMTS to discover the new APEX series and explore a different approach to managing oil mist in machining environments.
A new approach to oil mist
At the heart of APEX is a simple idea: separate oil mist instead of simply collecting it. 3nine’s separation technology separates oil from the air, allowing valuable cutting fluid to be recovered while reducing filter waste and maintenance. For manufacturers, this means a different way of looking at oil mist — not simply as something that needs to be removed from the air, but as a resource that can be separated and recovered.
Bringing APEX to North America
IMTS gave visitors the opportunity to see the new VERA and FREJA oil mist separators up close and learn more about how the APEX series is designed to support cleaner production environments, lower operating costs and more sustainable machining. Throughout the show, the 3nine USA team met with manufacturers, machine builders, partners and industry professionals from across North America. The conversations covered a wide range of challenges — from workplace air quality and oil mist management to maintenance, cutting fluid recovery and operating costs.
Looking ahead
Launching APEX at IMTS was an important step for 3nine, but the conversations do not stop at the show. With the new APEX series, 3nine is continuing to bring its approach to oil mist separation to manufacturers looking for ways to improve both their production environment and the economics of machining.
